Welcome to the Marketwise Café.  How to use: This portal consists of two windows. The upper one, which you are currently reading, serves as a viewer and displays all the latest news, quotes, and other information that you have selected. The lower window gives you a choice of information to view. There are several tabs below. The first tab, entitled "breaking news," is selected by default. Clicking on this first tab will cause our scripts to obtain the latest news from the Web, sort the news based on time and display the links to those articles. You can click any other tab that interests you. Doing so will invoke our other programs that find and display other data and links. When you click a tab, you will see a list of links appear below that tab. Clicking any of those links will display the corresponding information in this upper window (i.e., in place of this welcome screen). Also, please note that each tab below presents you with an adjustable ticker tape, an adjustible quote tool, and some additional information for researching individual stocks. For your convenience, most of the stock-specific information is displayed in a new window, so that you can read the news about a stock and research that stock simultaneously. New features and services will be periodically added to this site, potentially including the following, depending on the demand: forums/chatrooms, real-time data, portfolio tracking, etc.
